Generations 65

I made an impromptu stop at Toys R Us today after the booster mom in the other thread told me what seat she got her dd. I hadn't heard of it, and wanted to look, although she had bought at Babies R Us. Anyway, I got a look at the Generations 65. I had liked the Bolero fine, so thought I'd check it out.

Does anyone who has seen it think it's way deeper? I thought it looked very deep. I liked the push button harness release. It seemed to work well. Did we ever get a final top slot measurement? I was surprised there were only 3 slots.

My BRU had the Gen 65 right next to the regular Generations, and they were exactly the same size to my eyes (I didn't take a tape measure to it though.) I think that pattern makes it look deceptively deep sometimes, though.

The top slot measures low last I heard-- 15.5 inches-- but it's one of those mystery seats that seems to give kids a lot more time than it should, and with compression of the seat padding it can get as high as 16.5.

I went to TRU and tried dd in it, and got WAY less room than i had just a week ago? I knwo dd hasn't grown since then, lol.
But anyway, dd was even with the top slots, maybe even over. I was very sad. BUT..she is 5, and has a long torso. So i guess it's fine for most kids. But when I had tried her in one a week or so ago, she had a whole slot left? So ihonestly have no idea what's going on.
