Charlie loves car seats. Whenever we go to Target he lunges for the pink Marathon and wants to sit in it and buckle up and rub it. He loves sitting in all the car seats I put him in, and gets excited in the car seat aisle and reaches for his favorites (good god, he's not even two and he already has favorites). He tried to buckle himself up, and if i leave a car seat in the house within his reach he climbs in it and tries to buckle himself into it.
This weekend we spent Friday evening and all day Sunday with our friends and their new baby. I do have pictures of the baby in her Connection (and a Rounabout for comparison) that I will post when I get them on the computer.
Yesterday I went to get Soren another outfit and left her bedroom door open. Her car seat was in her bedroom.
Charlie carried her car seat out of her room and into the play room (through the living room, dining room, and kitchen) to where I had the baby. He put the car seat right by my feet and touched Soren. When I didn't put her in it, he got angry! Finally I put her in it just to calm him down, and he gave me a big ole grin and then left the room. Later he "caught" her mom holding her without the car seat, and went back into the playroom to get it and drug it into the living room and put it by her feet.
Charlie gets the message loud and clear! Babies belong in car seats!
