In Search Of Girls size 11 winter boots/snow boots

We're going to NY for 6 days to visit my family, and I'd rather not spend the $$ on snow boots for such a brief period of time. Anyone have a pair of girls size 11 snow boots? I don't mind paying a little + shipping... just don't feel like paying $25 or so for such limited use.

Can you have family pick them up for you?

Also if there isn't a ton of snow dd just wears her Fugs (fake uggs) from Target. They keep her feet warm. She only wears snowboots when she is going to be playing in the snow well into winter (basically she wears them if she needs snow pants)

That's good to know--I was wondering about fake uggs... because she can wear them here, too, in the winter. If we're going to be walking in snow, though, do the fake uggs absorb the wet? I guess that's my biggest concern--cold/wet toes.

The fake uggs seem to be fine when we don't have a lot of snow. I don't think they would work for sledding or something though.

The fake uggs (Emu or Bearpaw) I got was wet at Lake Tahoe and in Oregon while playing snow. We were making lots of snowmen.

The Targets near me have their winter boots out already when I went there on 17 Oct.
