Traveling Toddler and Gen 65

We are doing something along the lines of a traveling toddler based on the idea of this thread but the latch connector straps (on the Gen 65) are short and won't reach around our small wheel suitcase. Ideas?

why not simply get a bungee cord... thread it through the beltpath and hook it to the tether the way you would have with the latch straps?? it should work the same, provided the bungee cord is the right size to be snug enough yet also have enough give to stretch that far

I like Kat's suggestion. My DH is an electrician and I used 3 pieces of tie-wrap last minute to accomodate the latch straps on my MA. Pretty much anything that fits and won't damage the latch hooks (i.e. nothing too large/sharp) and you would trust to hold up to the wear and tear should do fine. I did my trial runs with a metal hanger BUT obviously this wouldn't pass through airport security. lol

I just attched two (larger) wedding rings (they were 1.99 at home depot) together with a caribeaner that i had laying around.. Really whatever you have/can get works! I LOVED it for the airport! my ds was in his GN strapped to the suitcase the whole way though the airport and i didn't have to carry him! (he is 3.5)

I can look when I'm in the store next time. The bungee cords that I have wasn't long enough to go completely around so I hooked up one latch and TA hook to the ring and used the bungee cord for the other connector. It might work alright, though I'm not sure if I would let DD ride that way.

ETA: Ducky5306 any chance you have a picture of how you did the GN? How was that seat going thru the airport?
