Now I need help with seat configuration...

The TC information and videos have me a bit concerned. I have DS in a Companion, installed center with the L/S belt. It was the only way it would fit next to DD's RFing Signo, which is outboard drivers side (installed with LA's, because that got her seat to move a tad further out than the seatbelt.)

I could just move the Companion outboard passenger side and install with the LA's, but I like to sit in that position, and prefer he be in the center if possible, not to mention that he is getting so big, so darn fast, that he would fit better in a convertible. I think I have it narrowed down to the TFP and the MR (just don't feel any love for the RN's.) Problem is, I don't think either of those would fit next to the Signo unless I turned DD FF, and at 27lbs with clothes on, and 2 years 9 months, I don't want to do that.

So I can leave him in the Companion just the way it is (which is scary), or

Move the Companion outboard and install with LA's, but then I will be faced with this same problem soon, when he really outgrows the Companion, not to mention I can't sit back there. Or,

I can get the TFP or MR now and install it outboard passenger side, and sit up front, or,

I can turn DD FF in her Signo, if it means the MR or TFP will puzzle next to it, allowing me to sit back there with them.

What would you do?

If you really want his seat installed with Latch, I'd just move him outboard. Companion or convertible is personal preference, but if you are getting a convertible, I'd get one with anti rebound.

I would not turn your dd ffing just so you can sit in the back. :p I'd rather her rfing and you in the front.

Have you tried moving J's seat over towards the door more and installed it with the seat belt? If you can get it over a good inch or two you could probably make the Companion work with LATCH. I often had to do this with my three across configurations and it always worked well.

Here is a picture of a Regent installed more towards the door (see how close to the edge it is) with a BV installed center.

If you compared it to where the infant seat in this picture hits you can really see how far over I installed the Regent.

Thanks for the pictures Dani. I went out and checked, and DD's Signo is about 1 1/4 inches from the edge of the seat. I will have to play around with it some more, I could have sworn I got it furthest outboard with the LA's, not the seatbelt. Maybe I wasn't doing it right?
