You know, one of those big sales where they rent a hall or something and parents bring in their kids stuff with tags and get like 70% or whatever. Some were from the mid 90's! Most were 9-10 years old, though. When I told the owner he was like, "car seats expire?"
So I had to go back and show him all the stickers on the seats and explain why. By the time he conferred with his wife, they were both so embarressed. I told them, it was ok, I just didn't want them to have any legal responsibility and that, in the future, to not accept them, most prople just weren't aware.
They were very nice about it, but geez. You're in the business of selling kids clothing and products, you need to know this stuff! I know all of the other companies in the area that do this require no older than 5 years and a disclaimer.
I felt a little uneasy approaching them, but I couldn't let that many grossly expired seats be sold... I guess that was my public service (annoyance) for the day.
