I just wondering on how they decide a name on a carseats and patterns, does it have a meaning behind it ? I thinks some are more creative than others

I think it's the same way they name shoes... they either thumb through baby books and randomly select them or they name them after people they hate/love (ie, ugly pattern equals that nasty girl in HS who always bugged you or nice pattern equals your BFF). Or at least, that's how I would do it ;)

Well, Britax seems to have several main themes for naming their seats. The Marathon falls into the "roadway" theme.

Roundabout
Marathon
Boulevard
Parkway
Roadster (booster no longer made)
Freeway (FF seat no longer made)

I think there are others I'm missing. They also have a royal-type theme

King (not made here anymore)
Monarch
Regent

Again, missing some here, but they also have a line with Diplomat and Advocate.

I don't know how other companies choose to name their seats, but I know we've discussed Britax themes in the past here and noticed the varying trends lol.

As far as cover names go, I don't know how they decide those. That's probably anybody's guess :p.
