Infant seat for new(ish) 2-door Civic?

My friend is expecting her first child, and has asked me to go to BRU with her to check out the infant seats this evening. Her DH drives a 2-door Civic, recent model year (probably 2006 or newer, I don't know for sure). Does anyone know of any infant seats that either work great or don't work at all in this vehicle? She won't have it with her tonight when we're looking at them, so she can't try it out. I know Evenflo seats take up a lot of room with the 1.5" handle rule (not that I'd recommend that seat anyway). What about others? Snugride 32/35? KF30? Onboard 35?

I'm a little out of the loop on infant seats these days... if there is anything I should keep in mind, please let me know. Thanks!

Re: Infant seat for new(ish) 2-door Civic?

My sister has a 2 door civic that is around that age. I can put the ss1 in it so that will probably work. Her car has a bit of a hump in the middle, so if they want to put it there then I would recommend a base with a lockoff on it. Of course it will be easier to get the seat in and out if it's in an outboard position.
