Not sure where to put this. Shipping seats?

If you've shipped a heavier seat, like a Nautilus or Marathon--what did it cost and from where to where (continental US)? I checked quotes on UPS and Fedex for my Nautilus from here (WA) to, I think, Ohio and Texas, and got $75 to $93. Am I doing something wrong, or does it really cost that much?

Yowza. My seats have all been about $35-$40 (even as low as $20-$25), iirc, but then again I am in the middle of the country. I used UPS, FedEx, or the one I have been using lately, DHL. DHL has been consistently cheaper for me. If the person you are shipping to has a commercial addy to ship to it will sometimes be cheaper. We live about 10 minutes from the airport, so I just print the label out at my house, and take the package directly to the shipper. Cuts out alot of the cost

I'm having the same problem, I was hoping to ship something cross country and all I keep getting is $60-$70. I am still trying to find a cheaper way but so far no go.
