Had a hard time picking COLOR - couldn't find examples

I'm not totally sure this is the right place for this, but I didn't see any rules that say this type of post is not allowed, so hopefully we're good to go

I have spent what seems like zillions of hours just trying to pick a COLOR/pattern for my most recent car seat purchase. A lot of the online colors, especially, are hard to see in person. I was really worried I'd commit to a color, order it, and then it would be delivered and I'd hate it.

I got the lilac Marathon and LOVE it, BTW But really, I lucked out.

It would have been wonderful to have a source of photos for all of the various colors that car seats come in so I could see them in real life - not just the lame color swatches or sales photos, yk? I couldn't find anything like this, so I spent hours googling and searching flickr and photobucket. I found a few photos here and there, but I wasted a lot of time on it.

My solution was to create a flickr group for car seat color samples. I added the photos I have that show our car seats and tagged the photos for easy searching (brand, model, color name, etc). I'm hoping that all of you who use flickr will go join the group and add your photos to the pool. Maybe we can save some folks lots of googling time.

Which seat is the lilac marathon? Haven't heard of that one?

It's... lilac. They also have a "strawberry" which is just... strawberry red.

I wanna see a pic of the Lilac. My dd wants a purple seat. Is it similar to the shannon purple at all?

That would be perfect. If only I could get Britax to replace my marathon. My dd would be beyond thrilled.
