Any new info on the weight of the Radian XT SL?

I'm seriously considering the new Radian XT SL for DD. One of the selling points to get DH on board is that this seat will be GREAT for travel. When the initial specs were released, it was supposed to be significantly lighter than the older Radians. Does anyone know if this is really true?

Thanks!

Darn it! Are they just as heavy as the old ones, then? Because I might as well save my money and get the regular Radian XT. We don't have LATCH and probably wouldn't use the extra RFing weight.

I've been thinking about this too. I think they changed the tether, harness and latch connectors and strap. I know they made the latch connector and strap stronger, presumably the tether and harness too. So I was thinking, well, stronger is stronger and stronger seems like it's always a good thing when it comes to a carseat even if my kid only weighs 25 lbs. So I decided if we ever get one we'll get the SL version even if I don't need the extra features. :twocents: (Maybe I've just been thinking too much about the Transport Canada videos.)
