MA adjuster strap help

I replaced the adjuster strap on our Marathon a few weeks ago, due to some fraying. Ever since then it has been nearly impossible to adjust. This Marathon has always been harder than our other one, but now its even worse.

I am wondering, if its possible that I put the new adjuster in wrong or something? Does any one have a good link with pictures on what it looks like when its all in? Or are there any online instructions somewhere?

I should have just left it alone, because once the old adjuster was out we could see that it was not as bad as it looked. More fuzzy than frayed like I thought. Oh well, you live and learn I guess.

Hi, there's an online instruction sheet and video at http://www.britaxusa.com/uploads/advisory/instruction/9pvbss.pdf and http://www.britaxusa.com/customer-service/safety-notices/view.aspx?Video=9vxlfebki.flv respectively that could hopefully help you out. The instructions and video are in the context of a harness adjuster recall that affected MAs (and several other Britax models) back in 2004 and new harness adjuster straps were sent out to owners as the recall fix. They're the first online visual aids that I could think of for replacing the harness adjuster strap.

It's really, really easy to do it the 'wrong' way. Mine even came from the factory that way  If you still have the little sticker on your replacement strap it'll be easy to pull it out and start over, if you don't, I'd maybe take some scotch tape and make your own sticker like was on there, so it's easy to pull back through the adjuster (um, if your replacement strap didn't have a plastic doohicky with a sticker on it, never mind me )
