Question about the foam in my Britax BV

Okay I'm pretty sure that I know the answer to this but I just want to make sure. When installing my BV in my Pilot I accidently ripped the grey foam. Just a a rip, nothing tore off. I am assuming it is totally okay but I just wanted to make sure.
