So, my son is getting bigger and I am starting to think about what to get next. He is just over a year, but a BIG, chunky boy. I'd like him to RF longer than DS1 (16-ish mos) and DD (2 yrs) did, but he is quickly nearing 33 lbs (He's in a WZ right now) and I know I need to think about what seat to get him next.
Of the "new generation" of ERF seats (40-45lbs), which might be the best choice for our captain's chair Grand Caravan? Which ones take the least space front to back when RF? Which are the widest in the booty area (cloth dipes)? Which stand a reasonable shot at actually lasting a chunky kid to the 40 or 45lbs mark? DS1 was 40 lbs at 2 1/2 yrs and 45 lbs at 3 1/2 years, I think, and that is the growth curve that DS2 is following, roughly as well so if he makes it to that point I'll feel good about it.
