How close to the weight limit rf do you go?

If your seat has a 35 pound limit, how close to that do you go? do you weigh your child everyday to make sure you don't hit the limit? If not, you could miss a weight gain.

We're not there yet, but I'll go right up to it. Just like I know seats don't disentegrate at 6 years and 1 day, I don't think they quit working at 35.1lbs. I won't weigh every day, but maybe every week.

(Assuming I had a RFing child...)
I don't like the idea of weighing every day.
I don't want to go over the weight limit.
I don't want to FF prematurely.

How I would balance those depends on the age of the child. If the child was 18 months and 39# in a 40# seat, I'd weigh every day and turn at 39.9#. If the chlid was 4.5 years and 39# in a 40# seat, I'd go ahead and flip the seat.

Exactly.

With ds2 I weighed him weekly until he hit 32lbs (he was in a 33lb radian), and then bought a new seat. But if I was not going to get a new seat I would have weighed him daily until I had to flip him.

DD is approaching the limit...I weigh her weekly (Sundays). When she weighs 35lbs, she will turn.
I also believe that if she is over 35lbs for a day or so, it's not a big deal.

This past Sunday she was only 33.5lbs...she keeps bouncing around this 34lb, and has for the past month.
