    Quick Onboard 35 question

I read the manual and didn't see this mentioned. Is it allowed to touch the seat back (Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with no in-seat airbags)? I would prefer the new baby to be behind my husband in the Jeep so my 20 month old can stay rear-facing behind me.

    Vehicle seat covers?

I'm sorry, I know this has to have been discussed before but I'm only finding threads on after market covers for child seats. Are seat covers for vehicles okay to use with child restraints? We have a brand new Jeep Unlimited so my husband wants covers to protect our seats from the dog.

    Pet car seat invention idea

The recent thread on pet car seats made me want to share something I have been contemplating for a few months now and I thought it would be fun to share and glean ideas. I've been soooo tempted to design a REAL car seat for dogs. I wouldn't know how to get it manufactured or crash tested though...

    Question Seatbelt replacement

Would the center-rear seat belt from a Subaru Imprezza work center rear in an Outback? The local repair shop has one in stock and says yes because the installation process is the same. But I wanted to check here first to gain some confidence. Had a puppy chew ours and would like the option of...

    Little Passenger Seats

So I was looking at 3 row SUVs and stumbled across this. It says they have been tested to DOT standards and child restraints can be used on them. There is at least one testimonial of one being in a roll-over. I'm looking at the deluxe bench seats...

Oooooh I wanna kick the hospital's butt!

So I just found out that a local hospital is giving out "keepsake head cushions" Blue for boys and pink for girls to be used in car seats, swings, strollers, etc. I saw a couple of them at church yesterday and asked the ladies about them (and told them that you shouldn't use aftermarket...

Keeping child from pushing chest clip down

Any ideas? Before I became more informed about car seat safety I had a tiny safety pin on one side of the harness right below the clip. Is this acceptable?

    OnBoard close-up pics?

So I want to get an OnBoard 35 for Baby that's still a twinkle in the eyes. (and maybe for DD2 in hubby's car until said Twinkle Baby arrives) There are no stores around with such seats that I can be touchy-feely with, so I have to order online and hope for the best. I can't get a decent zoom in...

    Wait...what? (Evenflo bucket)

So I was looking at the expiration date on my Evenflo Discovery because I plan to give it to someone else. (don't freak out yet) My mom bought it for me last May because she thinks I'm a terrible parent for putting a baby in a convertible instead of a bucket  and I've used it maybe 3...
