I am trying to determine placement of car seats for a 2000 Ford Excursion if I was going to try to get this vehicle for car seats. Trying to determine if there are issues with placing a Britax Advocate Clicktight rear-facing and a Britax infant seat in the middle row. It is my understanding that the Excursion does not have LATCH so seat-belt only installation is the method that has to be used. I also understand that the middle center seat in the bench seat style has a lap belt only and I have been told that the buckle for the center and passenger seats are in front of the seat bight due to the folding seats (though this is in part what I am trying to confirm). Looking at the Britax manuals, for seatbelt only installation for these models indicates it does not recommend installing in a seat with the belt forward of the seat bight.
Can anyone confirm whether the seat buckle is forward of the bight in the 2000 Excursion and if this is an issue with a seatbelt installation of car seats?
