booster for larger kiddo

I didn't think I'd need any car seat advice anymore now that all 4 of my kids are booster age! My 11 year old, 9 1/2 year old, and 8 year old are all in Harmony backless boosters. They worked great until just recently. I just looked at my 9 year old in it and she is now too big for it. She is squeezed in it and the belt fit is poor now. I have been looking for a different seat for my 11 year old for a few weeks, but he fits better than the 9 year old.

9 year old does not fit in a turbo booster at all. I'm not sure what to get for her. I really wanted to buy an incognito for my 9 and 11 year old, but I can't find it anywhere. I guess they are gone. I ordered a Graco Right Guide and a Diono Solona to try out. Any other suggestions?

We used to have 2 of the Diono Cambria's, but when my kid's switched to backless, they preferred the Harmony boosters, so I got rid of the Cambria's. The Harmony worked better fitting in the car when they had friends.

Neither my 9 year old or 11 year old 5 step yet, in any position of my van.

If a conventional booster isn't giving good fit but positioning is needed the Right Guide is a good thing to try. The Solana does fit large kids well too. I'm with you on disappointment the Incognito is gone. There are vests as an alternative if nothing else works, but that is a pain for every day use and might be a fight.

Thanks. The Right Guide came in today. No one loves it. Including me. My 11 year old says it's uncomfortable and too shallow. I don't like it because I don't think it fits well. The seatbelt buckle is so close to the guide, that I can't get the seatbelt to go through correctly. Solana's should arrive tomorrow.
