We flew Delta every time (3-3 configuration and 2-2 configuration planes). Truthfully I don't remember how far it went down b/c dh always sits next to her and I sit behind her with our other dd. She was very comfortable and didn't have any issue staying entertained...we brought new toys/books, had snacks,her ipod, and DS so it went fine. She's never had a tray during our 10 hour car rides to the beach so not being able to use the one on the plane wasn't an issue for her. I think at one time she may have sat her drink on dh's tray but she could have just as easily put it in the Frontiers cup holder. Good luck on your trip!
