  • the radian fit in my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it fits perfect in the middle! i'm ecstatic!!! it is ok that it touches the front seats some, right? it's not bracing but touching. i called saturn and it's ok on their end.
that's what i thought about the britax. i just wanted to be reassured! but if we can't fit the radian in my car, i think the tfp is our best next option??? i'm really not worried about weight at all. i think the 35 lb weight limit would last her to at least 3 if not 4. we are very small people. my sisters almost 5 year old only weighs 40 lbs. i'm tall and so is hubby, so that's the concern.
did you mean 34 inches tall as opposed to 24?? if so, that's about the same as my daisy. she just weighs less than him. i will definitely show him your siggy pic. i truly want this seat sooo bad b/c i kow it's the best seat for long term use. hopefully we can get it to fit this evening...fingers crossed! i would love to make to at least 3 rearfacing, if not longer!
Sorry I skipped over your ? about the TFP and Blvd. TFP will only RF to 35 vs the Radian models I suggested that go to 45. I do not reccomend Britax seats for ERF. They have short shells, low RF weight limits and ZERO RF leg room. If you look at my pics on BBC you can see my children in Britax Marathons (exact same size as Blvd) and they have WAY less room than in the Radian. Not that this is a safety concern at all but if I plan on RF to 4 or more I would like them to have more room!
My son is just over 22 months old and weighs 27 pounds and is 24 inches tall. You can show your hubby my car-seat.org siggy pic to show him how much room my son has RF in the Radian. As a general guesstimate you can expect your child to have one inch torso growth per year. My son has at least a foot of car seat shell above his head right now. Our personal goal is to RF to age 4. If we get to 4 and he still fits RF then we will keep going! I think by far the Radian 80SL or XTSL is the best seat for long term use!
