  • Hi there, I was told I should contact you regarding a query I have about an Axkid Kidzofix. I'm not sure if you are the same person that replied to my email query that I sent to www.carseat.se the other day, but I'm trying to find out info on how I can install my Kidzofix forward facing using the tether straps and the LATCH/ISOFIX connectors, which it mentions on that website is possible. The place I bought the seat from isn't aware of it, and the previous owner of the business can't be contacted (she's the one that told me it was possible, which is why we bought the seat). Anyway, any info you can pass onto me about this form of installation would be much appreciated :) Thanks heaps :)
I am now looking into the Max Fix as it looks so much simpler to install. My question now is about the Plus Test. Do you think a test that has passed at 25kg is safer in general than a seat that has only passed at 18kg? I know the Maxfix wasn't tested at 25kg so didn't "fail", but would a seat like the Max Way that is built to pass at that high weight be safer for all weights? Hope that makes sense!
I am having some English family come over to visit and they could bring the Britax Maxway over. It's very tempting to have a seat that passed the Plus Test and can get my daughter rear facing to 4+. I love how it's not a huge monster like the Foonf that weighs 36 lbs! However, I know it's illegal here and I am wondering whether it's worth it to bring over. Is the manual easy to understand? Will American Latch and seat belts work just as well?

Have any seats like the Foonf/Nextfit/Pria/Peg Perego attempted the Plus Test or is that only offered to Swedish seats? Is the Maxway actually made in Sweden?

    THANK YOU!!!!
Hi, I have another question, as I am anxiously awaiting my tax return (which is how I will be funding my trip to Germany/possible MT purchase). I looked through the MT user manual and couldn't find anything about using it on a plane. Ideally, I'd like to have it shipped to my friend's house in Germany and the fly home with it to the States. Would this work though, or can it not be used on the plane?
    Hi,
I was wondering how much a cowmooflage multi-tech would cost if I picked it up in Sweden? I'll be going to Prenzlau, Germany in April and thought either I could ship it there to my friend's house I am visiting or fly into Sweden and then head to Berlin. I currently have 1 multi tech bought used from another member here who got it from you and I love it so much I want another one for my younger daughter. Any advice on what would be the cheapest way to do it? Thanks!

    Hi Adventuredad,

I have a question...I was looking for European car seats on line since we are going to b spending some time over there and some in the US and came across some seats that dont have a 5 point harness but rather a padded kind of bar in front of the kid. *Their* information says those "bars" (cant remember what they called them) are actually safer than 5 point harness because they dont excert pressure on the child's neck.
Do u know what I am talking about and do u have any thoughts on this?
    THANKS!!!
