Target Maestro and other musings

I looked at it at Target today. I was surprised to see it had some more substantial harness straps than usual. They remind me of the old Nautilus. Anyway, it looks pretty nice for the price. I liked the looks of it too. Black but not plain black. Ha ha.

I really want to get a new seat. I'm tired of fighting with the Fllo. It would be fine if I always left it installed but I like to take it out because I don't use it that often and it's just in the way. It's too heavy and it's always a bit of a struggle for me to install. I want a light seat I can grab down from the shelf on a moment's notice and slap it in there. It has to be narrow and would be nice if I could install it center in the Prius. But I don't see anything working there to be honest.

I've had a Secure Kid before and overall it was ok but the straps were twisty and it has a continuous harness. And it was in my previous car. I've already tried the Atlas in the Prius but couldn't get even close to an ok install center or outboard. I've read the Defender has similar install issues. I just feel like I don't have a good option. Am I missing anything?

Have you tried the Wayz or Tranzitions?

I tried the Tranzitions I believe. That's at Babies R Us right? The one with the little short arm rests? That was a no go. I couldn't get a good install in any spot with the seat belt. Is the Wayz the same thing? I thought about trying the Defender but didn't know if it was heavy and also I thought I'd read it's install was similar to the Tranzitions.

What about a Sureride? Not narrow overall, but puzzles well.

Defender installs a lot like a ff Radian. It isn't really heavy. Less so than the atlas I believe.

I thought they were. I really don't want a Sure Ride. Ha ha.

I wonder if I should give it a try. I haven't had a Radian in the Prius so I don't know how that works.

Actually I put the Fllo in today it wasn't that bad. I must be getting used to it! But I have to move the car to heft it down from the shelf. What to do, what to do! Maybe I can handle it a while longer. :) I might get a new car this time next year.
