Anyone love their Clicktight convertible?

Hi all! I've been saying I didn't want a clicktight convertible for a couple reasons. One being lack of leg room, but I'm starting to reconsider...so a couple questions..

Is the leg room that bad RFing? I keep reading its bad.
How about FFing, do you think it has enough leg support?
How is the harness?
Would you pick Blvd or Advocate? (I'm leaning Blvd)
is it time for new covers yet?

I was thinking about the fllo, but I'm just not crazy about its looks, although I want to love it. I just don't think I want to spend the money if im not sure.

This will be for our baby coming in July, so I have a time.

Thanks!!

I love my Boulevard ClickTight.

As long as you recline a bit the leg room isn't that bad rf. I can't speak to ff but my slender leggy 3.5 year old is happily rf in it.

The ARB adds some leg room in some cars but not all.

It always seemed fine to me.

Not sure. We never used it FF.

How is the harness?

This was what prompted us to sell it. SO difficult to adjust the harness when RF.

Would you pick Blvd or Advocate? (I'm leaning Blvd)

They are so similar, I would personally choose based on color preference and budget.

britax has been really lazy about adding new colors the last couple years. It seems like they've slowed down a lot in comparison to their prior trends. While I think it is high time for new covers, I wouldn't hold my breath.

If I pick by color, I'd probably get a Blvd in splash. I think it's a nice boyish color.

I've thrown the idea of a Rainier around, but I think I'd rather have the Abr bar of the britax than RF tether of the Diono.
Also, I like the higher top slots of the Blvd, as my FR 85will be expired by the time I need another ff seat. I don't care for any of the combo seats out right now. Ill probably cry when the 85 has to be put down, lol.

Wish someone would come out with some amazing new covers. Brights or prints would be great.

Thanks all!

So the harness isn't smooth?

The issue that I ran into was that the harness adjuster strap had to come up over the little lip of the Clicktight panel -- and when RF, that means that the strap is pressed very tightly against the vehicle seat back. Maybe if I had introduced more slack into the install (and therefore gotten an install that had a little wiggle room rather than totally motionless) it would have been easier, but I like a nice motionless install, so we just sold it and bought a Milestone instead.

Thanks that helps. We have a my ride that has a hard to get to harness adjuster. So I get what you mean.

How do these seats fit nb's? We have a bucket, but just in case..

They fit an average to large nb.

With it reclined a bit more I don't find the strap pushes into the seat at all. (ours is probably at 35 degrees from vertical.) With it more upright it did do that more.

I usually don!t put the seat real up right. So maybe we'll be ok with the harness.

I'm not sure if I want an Advocate or a Blvd. I drive a 12 passenger van, so no issues with space. I don't have side curtain air bags, so was leaning advocate.

Love the splash color though.

Look for a used Splash cover or see if you could work a trade. The covers are the same for both seats ;).

My dd is riding in a limelight advocate with a Kaleidoscope Blvd cover to trade off when I get bored.

I mostly like the seat. I do have problems with the adjuster strap being buried in the seat making it hard to loosen the harness but I rarely adjust the harness so it's not the end of the world.

I do like the kaleidoscope, maybe ill look more into that one.

My 6 yr old DS won't have anything to do with pink, but he asked for the recaro booster in purple. Besides it will be several years be for baby boy will complain, lol.

I like the cow marathon and purple marathon, but I really want the extra height for FFing of the Blvd and Advocate.

I'm more against the short crotch strap than the lack of leg room. It really bothers me how the harness is when the strap is so short.

Thanks, I forgot about that complaint. It might bother me more since I'm having a boy again this time....ugh. this,is so hard. Maybe ill just stick to our MR 65. All the kids fight to sit in it, lol.
Or, I always love out Raidians....could go that rt again.

I dearly wanted to love the Boulevard CT I just ordered. But the second I tried it with my 3-year old I could see the crotch strap was already too short to be comfortable for her. [emoji20]
