Hi

I live in northern Canada and am planing a trip to France this summer with my 3 young children- 2 of which will be in booster seats and one remaining in a 5 point harnest. I wanted to buy 2 bumble bum child booster seat for the 2 older ones to bring with me and to make it easier to fit all the car seats in the car we will have over there. This specific booster seat is approved in Europe and in the USA ( we are flying through the USA) but not in Canada. We do not need the booster seat in Canada as we have vehicle large enough to fit our regular bulky seats in two rows. For the moment we are using the 5 point hardest seats the older kids used to have since they convert into booster seats.

Because we the bumble bum booster seat is not approved to be used in Canada the products cannot be shipped here. I was however wondering what could be done to allow us to pushchase the product and receive it before we leave with guarantee that we will strictly use it for our travel? These seats will be used again in the future on our next travels to Europe the following years and our nefews/ nieces as they grow until it expires. We cannot forsee a way to ship it directly to France because we will be needing the seats right away as we will be leaving the air port. I have an accaintance who leaves right by the border USA/Canada and has a postal box there to receive mostly products from small us companies that won t ship to Canada and at times better deals. She is willing to pick them up for me there but how can we insure that the products will be allowed to pass. How can we assure the border security of the use we plan to make of it?

I am not trying to trick anyone but I convinced there must be a way. Living really far from the border I won be able to pick it up myself and eventually proove that I don t need it here and proove my tickets to France.

Hi! Your best bet would be to find someone who can bring it to you without risking to have it confiscated at the border. There is no proving that you won't use it here, you're simply not allowed to bring a foreign seat.
