Download Tapatalk too as you won't be able to start threads in the old app now that you have iOS 8.

And no problem! You're doing perfectly fine. :)

Guess what. I don't have iOS 8 after all. At least on my phone. I do have it on my macbook air and my iPad now. My phone says I need 4.5 GB of storage to do it. I only have 2.6 available and I have deleted about everything on my phone. I only have a few apps left that are deletable. I have to work on my photos some more.

Do you have an iPhone 4s? That's what I have and I haven't upgraded to iOS 8 yet on it. I read up on it and it doesn't really seem worth it to me. Once you upgrade, the new keyboard takes up a ton of screen space in ios8. And I already sometimes have issues with that in ios7 with a smaller keyboard.

Your MacBook doesn't run iOS. It runs OS X which is for desktop/laptop computers.

Did you try doing the update when plugged into iTunes? Requiring 4.5GB sounds like your trying to do it over WiFi. Plug it in to your computer and see if you can do the update though iTunes.

You can always import some/all of your pics into iTunes, update your phone, then sync pics back onto your phone. It won't keep using all that space, it just needs extra to do the update.

I did try to do it over my computer. I'm trying again. Everything I did led me to believe I had updated the phone but then it wasn't updated. I give up for now. I didn't know you could sync the photos back. I have to go to bed. It's a project for another day. Don't give up on me!
