Question ford f150 tethers

Our truck, a ford f150, has the fabric strap type tether anchors. My question...if I have 2 seats that require a top tether, can I use the tether the seat next to it is routed through? To use these tethers, at least to my understanding, I run the tether strap through the loop behind the car seat and attach it to the one next to it. So the seat on the drivers side is attached to the tether anchor loop in the center. I would like to use a seat in the center position as well. Can I loop it through the center and attach to one of the outboard loops (specifically the one the other seat is routed through)? Does this make sense to anyone?

I haven't done an F150 for a while, and I don't have a manual in front of me, but yes, my recollection is that you can attach a tether to a loop that has been routed through. You can also attach two tethers to the center loop.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

That would work if there is a head rest in the center. Or I could put a hbb there. I don't have the truck or manual in front of me either, but next week it will become a vehicle my kids are in a lot instead of occasionally. Now, my oldest in a booster is the only one that rides in it much. I am not a fan of the loops.

Jennie wasn't saying you HAVE to have harnessed seats outboard. That was just an example. You can have any number of harnessed seats in any positions you want. You just go through the loop behind the seat and clip onto an adjacent loop, even if it's already being used. If you don't have your owners' manual, you can download one from Ford.

I know what she meant. I didn't know I could attach both outboard seats to the center. One kid has to have a harness, one is in a booster, and the middle can go in a harness or booster, but I think I am going to use a nautilus in there for her since I have an extra at the moment.
