Finding a combo seat that allows an older kid to buckle themselves in that spot is pretty tough, that seatbelt and stalk are not very booster friendly unless you have a BubbleBum or something very narrow. I'd be interested to see photos if the Frontier 90 works there!

A girl can dream, Darren. A girl can dream..

I can get a Monterey in that spot, and this FN90 looks like it kind of tapers...

No? Oh c'mon.. Lol

OT: I do have to say that I personally love the belt fit on ME in that spot (3rd row passenger side of new style Pilot). I was so surprised how well the lap belt fit across my upper thighs. I'm smaller statured at 5'2" and all seatbelts are always up at the top of my hips/lower abdomen. I would guess kids could 5 step pretty early in that spot. I just had enough room to buckle without being over the buckle and found it quite comfortable.

Yep. My 9.5 year old is 55 inches and while she rides in a booster still is very close to 5 stepping there and several of her friends (mostly 10-11) do 5 step there.

So do you think all the Britax seats will get this new installation system? Sure would make sense with all the latch weight standards now. Does this seat even come with LATCH? Is the top tether required?

Yes, it has latch and top tether is required at a certain weight. Super easy to install with seatbelt.

Only thing is that they need to figure out a way to make it FAA approved if they switch all Britax seats over to that.

I was just looking at the specs on britax' website. I figured the 90 was just a bit taller than the 85 in top harness height (based on comparison pics and the .5" difference). However, they have it listed as 36" tall, whereas the 85 is listed as just 29" tall. 7" taller? Can that be right? Why would that be? Yet the seating compartment height is listed as .5" taller in the 85.

I suspect a typo perhaps.

I am just checking in to say that I am sorry but I didn't get a chance to play car seats yesterday. DH took my car to work today so I can't attempt anything until he gets home this evening. I font gave anything going on tomorrow and the weather should be decent do I hope to get some time to try out all the things people have asked for.

Thanks for letting me know about the Oober, I had heard it didn't work (it was really hard to buckle) so I never tried.

Really?! And buckled too??

Yes! I was having trouble getting it latched in because of the way the anchors are set in there, so my husband crawled back there and did it for me and didn't really have too much trouble. My husband was also the one who buckled in my son's friend.. the first time my husband buckled him in, it took him about a min. to get it done, but then the rest of the day when my husband had to re-buckle him, he had no problems.

Is it fairly snug to buckle? Like there's not a lot of space, right?

I too had a heck of a time latching it back there. I actually wanted to scream which isn't like me at all.

I got mine as well zebra I'm in love!!

How is the Zebra fabric? I'm trying to decide between the Zebra or Onyx. I have the Frontier 85 in Onyz and love that it is a fabric that dirt wont stick to. Is the Zebra fabric one in which dirt won't easily stick to? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in Advance!
