I couldn't help myself! I found an online coupon that took $30 off a $175 or more purchase....
(ToysRus/BabiesRus)

(vehicle is a 2009 Honda CR-V)

It is fairly light IRL. They also had the green/black one and I liked that a lot but thought this wouldn't heat up as much in the car. And a lot of our seats we have already are blue :)

Phineas is turning 4 years old in December. He has TONS of room height wise to grow in this seat, he's 35 lbs with clothes and shoes on

Please ignore all the junk on the floor. I couldn't install it on the driver's side like I was going to, because DH likes his seat really far back. So I have it in the middle because in the rare occasion that DD1 rides in this vehicle we can stick our Harmony NBB on the passenger side (yep it fits!)
Also it will be easier for him to climb into the seat this way.

I was very pleased with the install. Absolutely no movement at the belt path!

And here it is next to the CCO, sorry it's so dark

I totally did not realize that it had two sets of LATCH straps, so that is pretty cool! One for RF, one for FF. Hopefully that will decrease user error

He is 35 lbs fully clothed with shoes on, and around 38-39" tall I think? But he has a long torso and short legs.

As long as your son is fairly light, he'd probably still have a TON of rear facing room in this as opposed to a classic BLVD

At 18 months he was 28 lbs and 35". Not sure on shoulder height. I need to measure to try to figure out how much longer he will fit. I do really love our boulevard though. Used it Rf until 2 with my older son and ff until 3.5 when ds2 needed it. How is the install....any chance the latch install is as easy as the boulevard?

Wow, that is awesome!!

And each has a separate clip on thing for storage, very nice!

It was VERY easy to install, at least in my CRV. Put a little bit of weight on the seat, pulled the LATCH strap and it tightened very easily. It does only tighten on one side though instead of having a separate strap on each side like the BLVD does.

What's the leg room like compared to the BV in the exact same seating position?

Cute kiddo!

Oh, I see you we're just responding to someone about the BV in general. I will definitely look forward to those comparison pics! I am looking for a seat that still sits a little higher up but has more leg room than the next gen Britaxes. MyRide fits the bill...just looking for other options. ;-)

I think it would have more leg room than the next gen seats just for the simple fact that it reclines way more than they do! Last time I had him in our next gen Marathon in the CRV he was like 2 years old so that wouldn't be a very good comparison for leg room :p

I haven't had a next gen, but it has more than the RA50 and less than the Radian. Opposite side of the car, but I haven't noticed a difference in legroom between the two sides. I moved a kid from the RA50 to the S4M and one from the S4M to the RN and they both gained a noticeable amount of leg room.

Thanks ladies! Our Jeep seats have zero contour and the next gen seat is rather upright leaving no legroom.

I think it might give you around the same leg room as the MyRide. They had them right next to each other on the shelf at BRU, and it seemed to me like the MySIZE is lower to the ground ,and the shell is much shorter, but obviously when the head rest comes up it gets much taller. But as far as recline and seat depth/leg room I felt like they were similar.

There is only one position for rear facing, but there are two different positions for forward facing.

Hmm, I felt like it was less leg room than the MR, but I'm trying to remember if I ever put the same kid in both. I just know I loooove the leg room in the MR and wasn't thrilled with it in the S4M, but perhaps it was perception.

I don't mean to keep disagreeing with you, hope it doesn't come off that way! Just trying to give another viewpoint in a different vehicle. :)

I recently had my two year old son in both installed in the second row of our Sienna and the MR definitely offers more leg room.

I know that leg room can vary a HUGE amount just from vehicle to vehicle! And I think in the CRV we get a lot more leg room maybe because the vehicle seats are so flat
I have also never owned a MyRide personally, that was just my impression from looking over both of them side by side on the shelf :)

for forward facing, what do you think of it sitting up so tall? I like how tall the harness goes, I just am not sure about how easy it would be for most kids to get in and out of with no help sitting up so high.
