Awesome Evenflo CS

I decided to keep both Maestros, one for backup and one for in my civic when the MA expires. The one I've been using has the big crotch buckle that says evenflo on it. I got the other one out of the box yesterday and it has the crotch buckle like the new GNs.

I boxed it up and was going to take it back, but I decided to give EF a quick call before I did. I'm so glad I did. I explained the situation and they are sending me a new old style harness assembly and crotch buckle free of charge. The person I talked to even had parts bring it to her so she could verify that it was the one I wanted and she called me back to tell me that it is and it's on the way.

Now that is great CS.

They are pretty awesome. When I got my $25 Target clearance Maestro and discovered a big indent in the front of it when I got home they replaced it right away. When I got it, it was less than a week old! Although that was a month ago and they have yet to have FedEx pick up the damaged one........

I think it's a brand new thing. The DOM on the first seat is 9/11 and the one with the new buckle is 12/11.

They are really nice (& thorough!). I called today to see if there were any harness covers they had approved. The person very nicely transferred me to "Sandy" who was super-informative on why one should not add aftermarket things to the seat. She started a file about the issue & told me I could get some thin fleece & stick-on velcro & make my own, if I wanted. I was using a set from a GN until I found a solution. I knew it was not good to do so, but made a parental choice for 1 day. I have since removed them & will use them as templates instead :).

Tell me about this bigger buckle. This is my 1st time w/Evenflo products, but the seat I have has the new style, I believe.

The only thing I've had trouble with is undoing the chest clip.

They are really great! I called once to replace my ods's ETA cover a couple years ago (back when they had the problem with the covers hurting kids' backs) and they sent me out a new cover free of charge! :) I was very impressed!

This is the "old" buckle.

I made harness pads to go on mine out of two layers of flannel. It's thinner than fleece so I'm not worried. :)
