Yes, the base is quite different on the new MAs and they do sit lower than the old ones. The new Frontier XT has higher top slots (~20", I believe). That's the main difference, but it's also changed a bit in design (different cup holders, more open belt path that apparently aids in ease of installation).
So you need a harnessed FFing seat & a booster? I'd do a Frontier XT and a Parkway SG, personally if they fit your vehicle and children well. I don't care for Graco seats, either, TBH.
Thanks, that was what I was thinking.
Would you do SG or SGL?
I'd do the SG, simply because I drive a vehicle that doesn't allow booster to be LATCH'd in. If I didn't drive this particular one, I'd get the SGL for sure.

NO! You're supposed to get a Marathon65 so I can try my girls in it
Well . . . . as much as I love it not sure how long it will last. I don't really need one that converts to a booster as by the time DD is booster ready DS will be out or in a backless. So do I want another RN or possibly the MA65???
Why are you wanting to try the MA65 Is it that different then the old MA?
Yeah, it is quite a bit different. I looked at it a bit at TRU a few months ago. I didn't have my girls with me though, so I couldn't try them in it. It is completely redesigned from the old MA. The shell is supposedly a bit shorter, the base sits lower, the top slots are a smidgen higher I think. Not sure what else. I'm just curious to see if/how my girls fit in it, not that I would buy one right now
Did you get that GN?
Yeah, i've had a MA before and it wasn't quite big enough to get us to booster age so that makes me hesitant although DD has a shorter torso. If they had them locally that would be a different ballpark.
I haven't yet, but it should be coming soon I hope. And I got confirmation that it will be a Canadian seat, which is why it is taking so long. I agree that the Frontier makes more sense, you'll for sure get her to booster age in that! I just like thinking about all the seats that I haven't tried.... good thing I don't have any money to spend right now!
Question about the SGL. Do I have to use the secureguard clip? It just says on page 20 that Britax recommends it.
So . . . . I now have a MA65 and a Parkway SGL
Now we'll have something else to play with NEXT tuesday the 8th.
I'm being interviewed on Monday in regards to it so hopefully we won't have much time to play after all.
Thanks, that's what I thought.Nope, the safeguard clip is not mandatory Can't wait to play! Though really, if we are busy, that would be great too:thumbsup: Have fun with your interview! (Oh, and thanks for the date, lol)
Thanks, that's what I thought.
I'm sure we can make time to play. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. It is always the 2nd Tuesday of the month. I still have to call them for this month though
