The main Carseat Chat (CSC) forum is for registered members to post on-topic discussions and chat relating to child and vehicle safety issues that don't quite fit into our other forums. General discussions on other safety topics may also be posted here, along with introductions from new members.

Any other topics or discussions that may not be appropriate for unregistered guests, search engines and archives should all be posted in the semi-private Community Member Coffee Break (CMC) forum and sub forums. These off-topic forums are available for free to Community Members, those registered users who meet certain minimum criteria (10 posts, 7 reputation points and 14 days registered). Community Member access is also given to subscribers. The Community Member forums may be used for various unrelated parenting topics, general chit-chat, craigslist/ebay concerns, photos, posts with personal information, pregnancy/babies, children with special needs, medical issues, etc. These forums should NOT be used for controversial off-topic subjects and inflammatory posts will be routinely removed.

Please be polite and curteous at ALL times. If there is a chance your comments might be misinterpreted or considered offensive, then DO NOT POST THEM here. It is not only the intent that is important, but how it may be understood by other community members. The public Carseat Chat forum represents our community to everyone browsing our forums, so the language and subject matter should be kept G-rated and appropriate for readers of all ages. Threads or posts about religion, politics or other controversial topics (even some regarding parenting) may be removed or moved to a private sub-forum without warning. Many of these types of discussions are not appropriate in any of our forums and are best suited to other internet websites dedicated to those subjects.

While you should feel free to express your opinions on a topic, heated discussions and those evolving into personal attacks on other parents will also be moderated and/or closed. Repeated abuse or harassing posts of any kind will be removed at the Moderator's discretion and may also result in a warning, infraction and/or a temporary ban from a moderator or admin.

For Sale, Wanted (ISO) and Price Check (PC) posts regarding personal items may ONLY be made in the Carseat Swap Forum (restricted access to post). Otherwise, anything resembling a for sale/trade/wanted/pc thread outside the swap forum will be removed or edited without warning. If you are in need of a specific child restraint for a special need or compatibility issue, you may (subject to moderator approval) post a "Wanted" add in the main Carseat Chat forum. Other members may reply via private message. Commercial posts and advertising are generally prohibited unless you are a forum sponsor. To donate or to become a sponsor, please see how to support Car-Seat.Org.

As a reminder to members- Please limit any images and tickers in your signature to a reasonable size, especially if you use multiple images. Please limit the combined height of all your photos, tickers and images to 240 pixels tall as an absolute maximum. The combined width should be no more than 640 pixels wide. The combined file size should be no more than 100kb. We don't want our forum threads to be cluttered like they are on some other websites, with the large majority of a thead being comprised of signatures and advertisements with little actual content. Please feel free to personalize your posts within reason, but the shorter you can make your signature including all text and images, the better. Signatures and repeated links that appear to be spam or commercial in nature will be edited or removed if they are not directly related to child passenger safety. Thank you!
