RF tether in Chevy Malibu?

Is there a place to tether a Marathon RF in a Chevy Malibu (asking for a friend)?

I told her to look for a seatbelt stalk or front seat leg where it bolts to the floor, but I'm not familiar with the vehicle, so I don't know that there is a good spot.

Thanks!

She sent me some pictures so I could see if there was a good place to put the tether. I am thinking the seatbelt stalk...what do you think?

I've got a Malibu Maxx. They should be similar. I've got pics of where I RF tethered too---I'll post some pics for you. Just don't mind the mess in my car at the time. I was in a TRU parking lot testing seats and taking pics for fun---yup I'm THAT much of a dork!

Sorry the pics are so big---I'm no good at resizing.

You can get the strap under the leg that is to the middle of the car. I've tried the belt stalk---it works in a pinch---but I wouldn't do it permanently.

Yup--slide the seat almost all the way back and then tether in front of where the back slider is. Then make sure they know they can NEVER NEVER EVER move the passanger seat.

My center LATCh position is slightly to the drivers side. I didn't tether to the driver's seat track because DH and I both drive and he uses the auto adjustor that pushes the seat down and back for him. If I was the only driver of the car, I would tether to the driver's inside track.

It's really funny that you posted this tonight---I was reading the child restraint section of the manual tonight. The Malibu and the Maxx model share the same book!

She could also use the bar that runs under the seat that attaches to the seat track. She would need to be aware that she can't move the seat with out adjusting the recline angle. But, It's another option too as it's part of the seat frame.
