LATCH vs. Seat Belt

Is either of these ways OK to attach a base for a car seat or is one better than the other?

Re: LATCH vs. Seat Belt

Either one is fine, the best one is the one you get the best installation with. Neither one is safer than the other, LATCH is just supposed to be easier to use.

Re: LATCH vs. Seat Belt

In most cases you cannot use the LATCH lower anchors in the center seating location, so if you are trying to install your seat base in the center, there is a very good chance you need to use the seatbelt.

I have found that in some cars/seating locations, I am able to get a better installation with the seatbelt. In other locations I am better to get a better installation with LATCH lower anchors.

I would try it out and see which works better for you.

GOod luck!
