Post Chicco C1 Travel System concern

Hello all,

We just got the Blackberry C1 travel system for our daughter that is going to be born shortly. Everything about the travel system seems great, but we had one concern about attaching the car seat to the stroller. When we drop the car seat in place, it makes a clicking noise and locks into the stroller. We know it's in place correctly because we can't lift it straight up. The concern we have is as follows: if for some reason the car seat tilts forward(ie: lift the foot area up causing a rocking motion towards the head area) the car seat becomes unlocked/unattached from the stroller, and could topple forward off the stroller. Is this normal for this model and is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Is there any way to correct this problem? Any thoughts, suggestions or clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Chicco C1 Travel System concern

Is there an additional point of attachment? I know the Graco seats click into their strollers and are supposed to be attached with straps.

Re: Chicco C1 Travel System concern

I agree with abacus2...check around near the foot of the carseat and see if there are levers or straps to use as additional attachments. I have a Graco stroller and it has a small red lever on each side that locks over the bottom part of the carseat to keep it from moving. I don't know about the one you have though. Maybe the manual says something about it?

If you are unable to find any help in the stroller manual, call customer service and ask.

Re: Chicco C1 Travel System concern

Thanks for the responses. I figured out what we were doing wrong. There is a detachable tray that hooks into the armrests. When it's attached, the lip of the car seat rests on it and stops it from moving.
