Why can't I post in swap?

I thought it was because I haven't been a member for a year, but I now see other threads started by members who joined at the same time I did and who have a lower post count than me. And they're not techs, either. So what did they do that I didn't??

Re: Why can't I post in swap?

Do you have enough rep points?

Otherwise you can donate money or become a benefactor and gain access before one year.

Re: Why can't I post in swap?

The 50 pt rep requirement is for those who have been here at least one year.

there's more information from the sticky thread at the top of the swap forum.
