AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN - DaimlerChrysler is recalling eight models involving more than 150,000 cars in Canada.
The car manufacturer is recalling its Chrysler LHS, 300M and Concorde models as well as the Dodge Intrepid — model years 1998 to 2002.
The company says seat-recliner bolts attached to the frame may loosen. Chrysler will replace the existing bolts.
Cars with power seats, model years 1998 to 2000, will get a replacement flex-shaft.
A separate recall is being issued for the 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks with diesel engines and manual transmissions. Those vehicles need the engine control software re-programmed. The company says idle speeds can increase if the cruise control is used too much.
Chrysler will also recall its 1997 to 2002 Chrysler and Plymouth Prowlers to replace a ball joint on the front suspension. The suspension can separate from the control arm if there's corrosion.
Car owners are advised to call their dealers for the repairs.
