Cars with Center rear seat lower anchors?

Does anyone know what cars out there have lower LATCH anchors for the center rear seat? The only one that I am personally aware of is the Honda CRV. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Lower Anchors for center rear seats?

Does anyone know of cars out there that have lower latch anchors for the center rear seat? The only one that I am aware of is the Honda CR-V. Thanks!

I know Saturn puts center LATCH in their cars... I know for sure the VUE, Astra, and Aura do... not sure about the rest, but I think it's standard in all their vehicles.

edit: I went to the website... the Outlook only has LATCH in the outboard seating positions and the Sky doesn't have LATCH at all because it doesn't have a backseat at all. The other three vehicles listed above DO have LATCH in all three rear seating positions.

The '08 Acura MDX has centre LATCH in the 2nd row (so 3 LATCH seating positions in 2nd row). It also has top tethers for the two 3rd row seating positions (but no lower anchors in the 3rd row). I'd assume that the '07 is the same. The 1st generation MDX might be different ('01-'06).

Re: Lower Anchors for center rear seats?

I'm sure a tech will chime in with more info....the only one I personally know of the Honda Ridgeline truck. The Honda Pilot does NOT have center Latch even though they are supposed to be on the same platform.

Sorry, this was my first time posting, so and I wasn't sure which was the correct forum for this question, so I posted it in two different ones. Sorry about the confusion. Thank you everyone for your responses.

2005 Toyota Tundra has center LATCH and driver's side outboard. Weird configuration if you ask me.

Keep in mind that some of the vehicles listed do have center LATCH, but it can't be used at the same time as driver's side outboard (Honda CRV/Acura RDX, saturn aura and Chevy Malibu come to mind).

Are you only looking for information on new vehicles? The CRV/RDX didn't have center LATCH until 07 MY.

GM allows borrowing of the outboard anchors for center LATCH installs in many of their vehicles that don't have a dedicated set for the center position. That is, as long as they aren't already in use for the outboard seats and the carseat manufacturer allows it as well.

Ford allows borrowing as well.

This is true of some Ford vehicle models, but not all. The specific Ford model's manual and/or the LATCH manual can verify whether borrowing is allowed, and the carseat manufacturer also must allow it. :)

My mother owns a (brand new right out of the factory, she had to show it off) Saturn Aura and it has 3 seperate sets of LATCH in the backseat. I had assumed all packages of the Aura had the same... do they not?

But the Acura MDX DOES have 3 full sets of LATCH in the 2nd row which can ALL be used at the same time (just in case there was any confusion between the RDX/MDX for the original poster).

you are correct that it does have three full sets of LATCH. However, unless they've changed it for the 2008 MY, you can't use the center and driver's side outboard at the same time. They overlap. In fact, you can't even have a passenger in that outboard seat if you have a carseat installed with LATCH in the center. The lower anchor arrangement looks like this: A AB CB C.

The CRV/RDX is a little different in that they only have 5 lower anchors with the one between the center and driver's side outboard being shared by those positions (and can only be used by one carseat at a time).

Yes, the MDX does have 3 full sets that can be used at the same time. :)
