http://abcnews.go.com/Business/story?id=4344102&page=1 The 2009 Nissan Murano was the best performer in new crash tests of midsize sport-utility vehicles, while the Hummer H3 posted one of the poorest showings, results released Tuesday by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety indicated. still trying to figure out which cars were tested. |

the big irony as i see it is that the hummer is marketed as being among the "toughest".
just goes to show you that sometimes it is all about looks.

The IIHS press release and detailed crash test results for mid-size SUVs is at http://www.iihs.org/news/rss/pr022608.html I don't see anything about roof strength testing in the article or on the list of recent news releases on the IIHS site, though.
