Anyone else dying for the Galaxy Nautilus?
I have called BRU and checked TRU and neither have it in their system yet. Waaaaahhhhhh! I emailed Graco and they said allow 6-8 weeks before BRU has it. I want it right now! If my local WM's had it, I'd prob have caved and bought the Bravo. I'm considering ordering it when WM has it back online, and just getting a replacement Galaxy cover later, which is pretty silly because that would make it cost more than the Regent on sale. Ugh! But I have skinny kids so I don't need the width of the Regent, and I know my dd's will LOVE the cupholder and toy cubbies of the Nautilus. I just wish I knew an exact date when I could get it, or be able to preorder it or something, so I could stop obsessing. Whine with me.

I want the Galaxy
and my DS is only 14 months and still RF. I am thinking by time we do turn him FF there will be other covers out. Or at least the Galaxy will be plentiful in BRU.

Re: Anyone else dying for the Galaxy Nautilus?
Me too! Watching and waiting, and hoping it will be kept in stock, and that the fabric is nice. My older DD, 6, got to ride in her Parkway for a couple of days and when she got back into her Wizard today she really noticed how high it sits. I've decided I'm probably going to get her the Nautilus, which she's asking for, if the Galaxy cover is nice, and then I'll be happy to move DD2, age 3, into the Wizard from her Scenera.

WalMart online has shown the Nautilus in stock at our local WalMart for over a week now (finally!), but I've avoided going to see it so far. If it's another few months to get the BRU version, though, I'm going to stop by WalMart in the next few days to take a look. Katrin |

Re: Anyone else dying for the Galaxy Nautilus?
Is the Galaxy the all-gray one? (Or should I say, the one that's MORE all-gray than the other ones?
)If so, yes, that one looks nice! We have the WalMart one now, but as soon as I find the Galaxy, I'm getting that and selling our SafeGuard. |

Yes, Galaxy is the all gray one, lol. I am getting desperate and just went to nasty WM to see if they had any. Nope.

Re: Anyone else dying for the Galaxy Nautilus?
I really like the look of the Galaxy but we are desperate and I can't wait that long. I am stalking our locale Walmart for when they have it in stock. They have it on display but are always out when I get by.
The Galaxy does look much nicer in the pictures but do you think it really is nicer or does it just look that way in the pictures? Online pictures can be so deceiving sometimes. |

Re: Anyone else dying for the Galaxy Nautilus?
i think i'm the only one that thinks the nautilus is too narrow in the shoulders but i'm still awaiting the galaxy in hopes it's a nice back up for grandma's car. the matrix and other one (forget the name) are ugly and i can't stand the way they feel plus i'm hoping the galaxy isn't just more plush but also more cushioned.

I could see how the Nautilus would be narrow in the shoulders for some kids. My skinny 3.5 yo fit in it perfect, so I'm curious how wider kids would look in it. I finally saw the Nautilus on display today at WM, and was content with the padding, so if the Galaxy is at least a better fabric I'll be thrilled. But I'd be ecstatic if it had more padding too. Re: Anyone else dying for the Galaxy Nautilus?
I want one, but I won't need one until the end of the year. I'm also hoping for more padding, not just softer fabric. Although I have YET to see the other patterns IRL, GRRR!
If I didn't want a Nautilus before, I SURE want one NOW - Jennie is selling her SAFEGUARD for one?! We have to remember - BRU also had HUGE delays in getting the Regent because of demand issues. But once they were in, they stayed stocked pretty well (ok, maybe the close to $300 price tag did that). All I know is, when BRU gets it they I better not find ONE SEAT with an 07 mfg date!!!

Re: Anyone else dying for the Galaxy Nautilus?
Ok, contacted Graco again. I know, I'm obsessed. I wanted to specifically make sure that I could buy a Galaxy replacement cover when that seat is released and put it on my Bravo Nautilus from Walmart (they said yes). I don't actually have a Bravo yet, but if Walmart gets it back in stock soon I will.
So since I was emailing them, I asked again about when Galaxy was coming to BRU, and she said expected release is still in March sometime! So basically no one really knows. Could be this month, could be two months, as I've heard both now. I think I'll just stalk WM for now, and if I can get a Bravo I will, and buy a Galaxy cover later. Kimberly ETA: I called BRU again this afternoon to see if they had it in, and the guy sounded really annoyed. "No, I'm not carrying the Nautilus." He said it very matter of fact, didn't ask me to repeat it, so he obviously knew what seat I was talking about. I've only called one other time, so apparently I'm not the only carseat obsessed person in town trying to get their hands on it! Last edited by mamaofthree; 03-04-2008 at 09:50 PM. |

Re: Anyone else dying for the Galaxy Nautilus?
The BRU about 45 min from me finally got them in about a week or so ago. The only have one left and are holding it for me. Yay! Walmart did have about 7, but once they finally put up a model they are sold out quickly. That was within a week or so.

Re: Anyone else dying for the Galaxy Nautilus?
I went this weekend to get one, but they were out of stock. They did have a display and the places where the softer fabric is located really isn't where kids have a lot of contact, except where their legs touch. In fact that fabric seems more difficult to keep clean. If you look at the one offered at Walmart, the Galaxy has the more "plush" fabric where the black areas are on the Bravo. That's it except for the insert.
So, I went next door and bought the Matrix at Baby Depot--they had a 10% off coupon. I have the Bravo and Matrix now and I prefer the darker gray one (Bravo) for cleaning purposes. I read elsewhere on here that Target (I think) will be getting the Nautilus in the Galaxy, but in the lighter gray color like the Matrix and called something else. (So, four gray fabrics total).

Re: Anyone else dying for the Galaxy Nautilus?
Can someone tell me what makes the Graco Nautilus so popular? People seem to be looking for this now like I was looking for a Wii at Christmas. Is the car seat really anything special? I've got a Britax regent and a marathon which I love.
