Cosco Tote N Go???

ADS
Yeah but those usually run $80+ and require a tether don't they? If I have to spend that much, I'll just get a regular seat...and I can't tether in the back seat of the van :(

That's kinda what I figured. I just can't decide whether to try to find an inexpensive harnessing seat that really won't be that useful after this year, or beg and nag :) for a Radian

Probably a 4yo...36lber...long and skinny. I'm still trying to figure out a 3-across possibility for my van (99 olds) :banghead: for a trip in March.

That depends on whether you ask me or dh :) He'd like me to stay in the $50 range - which sticks me to a Scenera or a Cosco HBB - the Cosco's do have higher harness slots than the Scenera. I'm kinda hoping he might just let me get a Radian b/c it will work for any of our 4 children...

I was going to suggest the radian, or the graco nautilis because its a booster too, and is $149.

The cosco has a shorter back and would not be likely to fit the 4+ year old well for a long time.

The Nautilus seems pretty wide though...I need to find the narrowest option...that still fits with what dh will let me spend. I know the Cosco won't last as long for the 4 yo...but I also have a 2 1/2 yo and a 3 mo old, so it would at least get used for a while...and longer than the Scenera...b/c of harness slot height, I think. I'm also going to see if he will let me get a FP booster, b/c they're 2 in narrower than my Big Kid and much narrower than my Compass B510.

Very Rarely. I just keep asking questions because I dont live anywhere near anything to try them out...except Wallys which has Cosco HBB, CarGo, Chase, Nautilus, and a couple others not worth mentioning :)

Thanks for all your help!

Which seating configuration does your van have? 2 captains and a 3 seat bench or the modular with 3 separate seats in the middle and 2 in back?

If it's the modular - in my 1997 Transport (same van - different name) the Nautilus takes up only one seat in the 3 across row. If it's the bench I know it's really narrow - my ex-husband has that setup in his 05.

I've played with a Cosco Tote n Go - actually got it installed snugly in my old Town n Country. But I wouldn't want to use it - particularly on a long trip!

Hey Admin, we should sticky this thread. LOL. I swear it gets asked once a week. I know it was one of my first questions!

LOL! Or we could just keep that list (above) of links to previous discussions available. :p
Just kidding. :p

My kid liked it... we use it on vacation..I"m sure I've yammered enough in one of those links, though  It's literally fine in a few tight situations...I think it's only sold as the Eddie Bauer Portable now, about $38 at Amazon.
