Hi. If you are unable to afford a new car seat, there are programs available to help you out with either a small fee or for free. Check with your local SAFE KIDS coalition or ask your ped. what programs are available in your area.

The Cosco Touriva 22-110 at Walmart and Walmart.com for $39 is a nice seat -- decent padding, 35 lb rear facing weight limit, and it's less expensive than the "base model" 22-100 Touriva that other stores carry!

Also, try www.modestneeds.org
They almost always fund carseat needs if they still have funds. They disburse 2x a month on the 2nd and 4th Sundays and if you don't get a grant one month, you are welcome to post again. Helps to post very early in the month. That doesn't give you immediate help but if you still don't have an immediate solution, it's worth a try. Be sure to read their rules and guidelines, it helps people get grants if they follow them to the letter.
