tether in 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I am trying to install a Boulevard forward facing (no latch in this car). There are only 2 top tether anchors for the backseat, one on each side. Can I use the middle seat and tether to the side?

Re: tether in 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee

NO, you can not. You must put the BV in one of the outboard positions and tether to the anchor directly behind it.

If the anchor is on the roof make sure you go over headrest.

If the anchor is on the floor or back of the seat (and the head rest is adjustable) make sure you go under the headrest (between the headrest and the seat). With the v-shaped tether it will probably end up on either side of the headrest if the anchor is located on the floor or back of the seat... this is fine.
