Comparing widths of Regent / Radian
Can someone tell me what the differences in width is between the Regent and the Radian??? I am still in high hopes to get my Regent in my van, next to two other carseats....
Thanks! Darcy |

Re: Comparing widths of Regent / Radian
I believe the Regent is 21.5" and the Radian is 14" across the seat and 17" across the back.

Re: Comparing widths of Regent / Radian
I've tried the Husky (old name for the Regent, same seat) in the 3rd row of the Caravan with & Freestar with various other carseats -- it just does not work.... You might get the Regent in the center with 2 Radians RF outboard, but I highly doubt it would be a correct/secure installation, nor would it be any easier to buckle than if you kept the 3 seat bench in the 3rd row to space the carseats out
Does your vehicle have the middle row 2 seater bench or captain chairs If you have the captain chairs, I'd just remove 1 of them to gain easier access to the 3rd row: 1 RF carseat in the remaining middle row seat with 2 other carseats on the rear bench. What is each child's actual age, weight & height? What carseat is each child currently using? What year, make, model is the vehicle again?

I've had: FF Radian, RF Marathon, RF Radian and FF Radian, FF Marathon, RF Radian It's extremely tight and one of the Radians is always underneath the shell of the Marathon beside it.

Re: Comparing widths of Regent / Radian
Thank you everyone for the responses. I will be purchasing the Radian for sure. I am planning on having 3 in a row in my 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan. If my son would try to sit in the back, maybe I could move the Radian to my hubby's truck and get a Regent then.
I'm glad to have finally made a decision (thanks to you guys)! I just hope I can get them to work now! ![]() Darcy |

For outboard positions... I twist down the buckle stalk 2 - 2.5 times and then put a knee into the seat to get the seatbelt nice and tight. Hope that helps a little. Post back with any install questions once you have the seat and have tried playing with it back there. Good luck!
