Rear facing Tether in 04 Windstar

Hi-- Just installed DD's BV rear-facing for DS (5 months). I've never installed this seat rear-facing in our van before. We have an 04 Windstar with power seats so it does not have the top tether in the passenger seat (what is with that!). I'm having some trouble locating a good tether point. DH found a bracket toward the front of the seat that it is currently tethered to, but it makes the tether bend under the seat, KWIM? Any ideas? The seat is power, with floor level plastic covers over the sides so the usual brackets and spaces are filled in and almost impossible to access. The floor anchor on the seat belt is covered with a plastic housing/wiring and doesn't seem accessible. Currently, DD is forward facing in the back center and DS is rear facing in the passenger captains. I would rather not switch them if possible. Thanks!

Re: Rear facing Tether in 04 Windstar

Can you pop the plastic cover off? I have my RF RA tethered under the passenger seat. It's a power seat, but I just wrapped the D-ring strap around the back edge of the track.

I've also been known not to tether my RF Britax seats...
