We need more "titles"

We now (as of this minute) have 29 members who have earned the "CPS Fanatic" title. Of those 29, at least 11 are CPSTs, so they have an additional and more prestigious title. There are also several other members who are *really* close to earning the "CPS Fanatic" title.

My suggestion is that there should be more titles above the "CPS Fanatic" one. Perhaps there should be a new title when a person has 2,500 posts or 5,000 posts or some other measure.

I know there was talk of having a "CPS Guru" title, but it sounds like you would have to have people using the reputation points feature more often than they are in order to have the "CPS Guru" title work the way it is written at this point.

Maybe this is a dumb suggestion.

I like Zealot for 30,000 posts category

Goes hand in hand with the single mindedness of either a Warrior & Crusader.

High number, but I bet eventually someone will make it eventually

I think there should be new titles at:

1,000 posts
2,500 posts
5,000 posts
7,500 posts
10,000 posts

That should cover us for a while!

As of now, we would have:

~ four members who have 5,000+ posts
~ four more who have 2,500-4,999 posts
~ twenty-one who have 1,000-2,499 posts

That's a good idea!!

.

I really like the idea of the CPS Guru title (750 posts, 750 days, 750 reputation points), but I don't like the reputation points part of it. The 750 posts/750 days is a really good idea, though.

Maybe "GURU" could be 7,500 posts, 750 days, and 75 reputation points??

.

SO, perhaps it could be something like this:

1,000 posts (no time limit?)
2,500 posts (at least 12 months??)
5,000 posts (at least 18 or 24 months??)
7,500 posts (at least 24 or 30 months??)
10,000 posts (at least 36 months??)

(the time limits I proposed might be WAY off of what is realistic. They are just an idea!).

I think more titles will be cool, but Im not creative like that. The Guru is the only one I think of.

A zealot is one who is zealous;-) Full of, characterized by, or due to zeal; ardently active, devoted, or diligent. I think we can all aspire to be a Car-Seat.Org Zealot - 5000 posts! Pretty reasonable for the highest title available I think;-)

The requirements for the CPS Guru usergroup have also been adjusted slightly to be a little more consistent with the number of posts and reputation points members are getting. For now, it is 1000 reputaion, 1000 days registered and 5000 posts. These are intended to be restrictive requirements so that it is pretty exclusive. There are a number of people who have earned over 100 reputation points in the first 6 months and I expect the rate to go up as more people participate. There are also a number of people who have over 1000 posts since joining this year.

Given those trends, I would expect to have a handful of people that qualify by next year who aren't currently site admins. Scatterbunny will probably qualify within a couple months and she only recently became a tech. The requirements may change again (up or down) based on trends in posting and reputation points.

The "mouse over" titles that go along with the user reputation have also been adjusted so that people will move up repuation title ranks a little quicker.

So are we going to have a zealot title available for members with over 5000 posts?

This is great! Thanks!!!
