Re: Pics of my Madison Regent install

Looks good to me Just wanted to comment on the harness thing. Stick the pencil all the way. I found on my DDs regent since there is more "padding" it raises the cover which gives you a false sense of height. The actual harness slots were a whole 1/2 inch shorter than it looked with the fabric on. My DD looks like she fits on the 2nd slot, but in reality, she's like 1/2 an inch taller than the slots so she's on the 3rd. Looks like you did a great install though

ETA: Your 9 year old needs to have his headrest a teeny bit higher so it cradle his head

Re: Pics of my Madison Regent install

Do the headrests go any higher for your big kid? If not I wonder if he needs a booster with a back. My 9 year old can't fit in a lbb because of height in some cars/vans.

They little one the straps are below his shoulders right? Its hard for me to see with his collar. Your kids are so cute.
Great job installing too!!

OMGosh you have the cutest kids!!!! I agree with the other posters that the headrest needs to come up for your 9 yr old. Other than that everything else looks awesome! I can't wait for our Madison to come. It looks so comfy and cozy

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely re check her seat in the AM and fix my big kid's head rest. It WAS raised but SOMEONE just had to look out the back window and make faces at his cousins when we left their house today and I forgot to put it back up

Thanks! The headrests do go up higher but the goof ball was making faces at my nephews today when we were leaving so he put it down and I forgot to raise it.

The straps are at the lowest setting for the baby and they are below his shoulders.

Do you work up in L&D at Edwards?!?!?!?! OMG, i'm drooling at the sheer thought!!! My goal in life is to work in L&D at the Taj Mahal.

We should meet up sometime. I'm right outside Joliet and if i'm not mistaken CPS Darren lives up in the Napervilley area.

Are you guys the whole LDR and P concept hospital too? I work at Silver right now and it's sooo different getting used to the whole transferring newly delivered moms and having all the babies go into the nursery at night so moms can sleep. I'm lazy and want to stay in the same room I gave birth in I had my DD in a LDRP and she was in my room the entire time so it's a really big adjustment for me working there.

I'll apply there after I get my RN in a year. Just debating whether to stay close or attempt to make some more moolah up in Chicago. Some people say the pay is pretty much the same in the city vs suburbs, but then I heard that some hospitals in Chicago pay significantly more. I just wish I had more concrete answers so I can focus on where i'd like to work after I graduate.

We don't do LDRP. I delivered my last 2 kids there and they were with me the whole time. I didn't want them to go anywhere LOL

When do you graduate? Edward has a special new grad program and they only accept new grads to L&D/mother-baby once (maybe twice) a year.
A lot of the people at Edward live in the Plainfield area and they are reapplying for permission from the state to build a new Plainfield hospital.

The pay in the city is pretty much the same as in the suburbs. I applied EVERYWHERE when I graduated 3 years ago LOL You also have to factor in gas, wear and tear on your car, and a lot of hospitals in the city make their employees pay to park.
I worked mom/baby at Loyola since I graduated and the commute was kicking my butt and even though I worked nights I still had to pay $20+/month to park in the garage that was a 10 minute walk from my unit, blah.

Re: Pics of my Madison Regent install

I can't tell for sure since your oldest's arm is blocking my view...but it kind of looks like the shoulder strap is going over the arm rest of the booster, instead of under it.

Otherwise, your kids look cute and safe!

Sonja, good catch! Looking at it again, you're right-it's hard to tell for sure, though.
