installing Boulevard with lapbelt

so i've gotten to install my BV in 3 cars today (dd keeps going on outings) and in the last one i was going to put it in the center back using the lapbelt. the manual says to route under the latch bar but the seatbelt latchplaste was to thick and wouldn't go under the bar. i ended up moving it the drivers side outboard position and using the lap/shoulder belt which is supposed to go over the latch bar and got a nice tight install.

there does'nt appear to be much clearenace to get a latchplate under that bar so i wonder if that means it won't install in many cars that way?

Re: installing Boulevard with lapbelt

I have a MA installed with lap belt only. (rfing) I had to slide the belt up towards the back of the seat were ther is more clearance to get it through.

Re: installing Boulevard with lapbelt

I was going to say the same thing. For a FF install- Slide the belt towards the front of the seat (kind of where the bar bends) There is more space to fit the latchplate through. Then slid it back to where it's supposed to be. Then tighten the seatbelt while kneeling in the BLVD.
