Question RF marathon in truck

Can you tell me where to put a RF marathon in a 2001 Chev. extended cab pick-up? I am not sure if it has center LATCH or not. It will just be for the weekend and then it will go back in my car. Should I tether it? My daughter is 8 months old.
TIA!

Re: RF marathon in truck

It most likely does not have LATCH, or at least not LATCH in the center. If the seat fits in the center, I'd probably do that with a seatbelt.

I personally would tether a RF MA in a pick-up just to help keep the baby away from the back window (prevent the seat from rebounding). It's probably not a huge deal with such a young child though.

Re: RF marathon in truck

Just make sure to read your vehicle manual thoroughly & yes I would tether the Britax RF, especially in a truck Remember that the carseat must not move more than 1" at the belt path -- correct installation is not dependent upon the top tether ... remember not to over rotate the carseat (recline angle must be between 30-45 degrees).
