Is this the B510? It is, right? Oh goodness, if it's the B510, then it's a really good booster and I'm going to have to BUY IT!!! Compass also makes the B500 and B505, but they aren't as wonderful.

Well shoot, it's going to be $63.43 to ship it to me and then I'll still have to buy the daisy cover my dd wants. Decisions, decisions.

Good deal!!

But YIKES -- the first reviewer scares me. :(

At first, I considerd a convertible booster seat that also has the latch system along with 5 point seatbelts, but decided against it because my son at his age and weight (3.3 yrs, 35 lbs) does not need all these extra features in an extra bulky be-all car seat.

The latch and 5 point features are intended more for a recent 3 year old, while a toddler from 3.5 years to 10 won't need it, so why bother with all this extra stuff? You don't need the added bulk and complexity for features that will only be used for .5 more years.

.....................The only thing I have had to get over is that booster seats in general are not secured onto the car seat with a latch, but instead, rely on the seat belt to keep my son and the seat in place. When driving around without the kids, seats like this need to be secured even if a child is not sitting in it. The base of this seat doesn't look like it'll rip into my car's leather seat, and the headrest adjusts vertically easily. I will need to buy a seat protector anyway though, since my son uses the car's seat as a step stool to get into this booster seat. Also, you will need to train your kids when they can unbuckle the seat belt because it's easily reachable.

The only shocking thing to me was that this seat comes with an expiration date, and is not recommended for use after 7 years from date of manufacture. Therefore, it's not meant to be kept forever and used as a hand me down for siblings.

I wonder why he decided that a 3 year old doesn't need as much safety protection as a 3 1/2 year old? Is there really a difference that I've completely missed somewhere in child development? I haven't noticed with my dd. She's taller, but she's still little overall, no matter that she's at the top percentiles for height
Very sad :(

The B510 is fabulous. My dd likes it better than the Parkway, which used to be her favorite booster. The only thing I wish the B510 had that the PW has is torso wings and a slightly narrower footprint.

The B510 passes European side impact testing just like the Parkway, so I'm okay with the seemingly inadequate headwings. They are as deep as the PW's wings, but aren't as angled inward.

The B510 is deeper in the seat, better for my dd's long legs. She says it's more comfy.

I just ordered one ~ I think I'll let my MIL use it, she has a piece 'o' crap booster that actually belongs to my BIL, she has several grandkids who can use it when they're spending time with Gma & pa, I also ordered some Pirate Booty (another great deal goin' on)
