The last couple of times I've been to Superstore the baby section (car seats, strollers, play pens,etc) had very few items in it. Today, I asked a staff if they were not going to sell any more baby items, she said yes, she thought so.

However, they still have racks of baby/toddler clothing, diapers and all the rest.

I wonder why the change??

Which store were you at? I was at the Mississauga/Oakville store late last week and they still have the whole store full. It is also its biggest store in the chain though.

Sorry, do you mean the Safety Superstore the Loblaws/Superstore? LOL.

I was at the Safety Superstore. And I never know the Loblaw/Superstore ever had baby gear (at least not our local one anyway).

I noticed that our Real Canadian Superstore didn't have much for carseats and strollers lately. Usually they have some AO's and the Safety 1st Inspera, maybe they are going out of that; not that ours had a great selection . . .

That sounds about the same as the Real Canadian Superstore in the north end of the city (at least on Thursday morning). I haven't been to the east side in a while.

Hi Again,

I live in the Vancouver area and was at 2 "Real Canadian Superstores" recently-one in Surrey and one in Delta.

I wonder why they want to stop selling baby gear-their prices were reasonable. I will ask my cousins in SW Ont if their store is doing the same thing.

I do know Superstore now has a portrait studio (white background only) and thier pics come out well overall, or maybe it's the little people in them (my cousin's kids!!).

I sure know TO/Mississauga well-that's where I'm originally from!

Our Superstore does portraits and has since it opened a few years ago. I have always gone there for my DS's portraits and have been quite pleased with them. Our studio has more then just the white background though, I have used white, black, brown marble and gray marble. I also find their prices quite reasonable and they are ready the very next day if not sooner; one time they told me to come back in 1/2 an hour and they were ready!

Hmm, Our superstore has 1 type of playpen and 1 stroller that they're carrying right now. They still carry some other things, but definitely not the way they did a number of years ago. I'm sure they won't quit carrying baby and children's clothes though - especially since they just recently added the whole line of Joe's adult clothing.

Both safely riding in either a 2007 Outlook or a 2009 Astra depending on the day.
